Please join us! We are raising money to help fund research on Kleine-Levin Syndrome (KLS).
In 2017, our nephew was diagnosed with Kleine-Levin Syndrome. Kleine-Levin Syndrome or KLS is an extremely rare and complex neurological disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of excessive amounts of sleep, altered behavior, and disorientation. The cause of KLS is unknown. However, the association of an infection before onset, a young age at onset, a recurrence of symptoms and possible genetic predisposition is suggestive of an autoimmune disease.
We are reaching out to you to ask you to consider making a donation to the Kleine-Levin Syndrome Foundation, a 501(3)c non-profit organization. All contributions are tax deductible and all funds go directly to support KLS Foundation projects.
The KLS Foundation provides information and support to those diagnosed with KLS and their families. In addition, this organization helps to support scientific research by funding and awarding grants to medical researchers to help find effective treatment and ultimately find a cure for Kleine-Levin Syndrome.
Research requires funding. That’s where the idea of compassion in action comes into play. How can we make a difference? How can we help? We can support the medical researchers working to find a cure.
